Antai will provide 2GW solar mounting bracket system for one-stop warehouse

Overseas Optical Storage News: Encryption Mining Company plans to build 300MW solar projects in the United States; South Korea will add 1GW of photovoltaic installed capacity in the first quarter of 2021

Aetna, a Chinese manufacturer of solar mounting systems, announced an agreement with Australian photovoltaic distribution company One Stop Warehouse (OSW) to provide 2 GW of solar photovoltaic mounting systems from 2021 to 2024.

In addition, the company has established a strategic partnership with Bangladesh's Paramount Group for a 40MW utility solar project. Antai Solar expects the country to "become a hot spot in the solar industry." Paramount and Antai Solar will jointly promote the energy transition in Bangladesh.

Antai was established in 2006 and has extensive expertise in solar installation and tracking systems. It has more than 800 employees, including a research and development team. Cumulative shipments reached 15GW. According to the company, the company has ranked No. 1 in exports to Japan for seven consecutive years and No. 1 in the distribution market in Australia and Vietnam.

Woodside plans to build a 50MW solar project

Oil and gas giant Woodside is building a solar project for its Pluto Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) facility on the Burrup Peninsula in Western Australia.

The company told shareholders this week that it is investigating a proposed 50MW solar project, including more than 210,000 solar panels, which will make it one of the largest photovoltaic modules in Western Australia.

Korea

South Korea adds 1GW of solar bracket capacity in the first quarter of 2021

The latest statistics released by the South Korean Energy Agency show that South Korea will add 1,017MW of photovoltaic systems in the first three months of 2021.

Since 2020, solar photovoltaic installed capacity has increased by 1 GW every quarter. Although it has been increasing, it is still not enough to achieve the Korean government’s goal of 20% renewable energy power generation by 2030.

According to the latest research by Climate Solutions and the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology, in order to achieve carbon neutrality by 2050, the target of renewable energy, which accounts for 20% of total power generation by 2030, must be increased to 40%. Renewable energy The capacity needs to be increased seven times.

In 2020, South Korea's newly installed photovoltaic capacity is 4126MW. The result is not only higher than the 3.8GW in 2019 and 2.4GW in 2018, but also makes 2020 the most successful year in the country's history. If the growth trend of the first quarter is maintained for the rest of this year, South Korea may reach or exceed the installed capacity level of 2020.

At the end of March, the country's cumulative installed photovoltaic capacity reached about 15.5GW.

Italy

Falck Renewables will provide Solvay with 10-year PPA for 41MW solar mounting structure plant

Falck Renewables, a renewable energy company under the Italian-based industrial group Falck Group, announced that it will provide solar energy to the Italian division of the Belgian-based chemical company Solvay through a 10-year power purchase agreement.

The company said in a statement: "This 10-year contract will cover approximately 70% of the electricity generated by the solar power plant, which is equivalent to the electricity needs of the four power plants in Solvay, Italy.

Electricity will be provided by a 41.1MW solar park located in the province of Foggia in the southern region of Puglia. The park is planned to be connected to 10MW/20MWh energy storage. The company explained: “The current design is based on rows of photovoltaic modules and rows of olive trees, including the Fs-17 species that is resistant to Xylobacillus bacteria.” “The plan foresees that the olive tree’s Management will be entrusted to local professional operators organized as social enterprises, who will benefit from agricultural activities, thereby creating local jobs and economic growth in Puglia."

India

India's investment in solar mounting system in the first quarter of 2021 decreased by 30% from the previous quarter and increased by 7% from the same period

In the first quarter of 2021, investment in the solar field in India fell by 30% from the previous month. The Indian investment at the end of March was US$1.04 billion, while the investment at the end of December 2020 was US$1.49 billion. According to the latest "India Solar Market Update for the First Quarter of 2021" released by Mercom India Research, the investment amount increased by 7% from the US$970 million in the same period last year.

Utility-scale solar projects attracted nearly US$875 million in investment, an increase of 48% from the US$591 million in the previous quarter. The investment in the rooftop project in the first quarter of 2021 was US$159 million, an increase of 11% from the US$143 million in the fourth quarter of 2020.

United States

Encryption Mining Company plans to build a 300MW solar mounting structure project in the United States

Encryption Mining Corporation is seeking to use solar energy for the first time in Montana and is planning one of the largest solar projects in the United States, the Basin Creek Solar Project.

The 300MW solar project will provide electricity to more than 40,000 households, while there are only about 14,000 households in the county. At the same time, the project will more than double the state’s current 117MW solar power generation capacity.

Atlas (Atlas) Power Company plans to purchase the solar project after the completion of the project to provide power for its mining operations, which is expected to use 75MW of electricity.
